How to Create an Attractive Web-Site?
So, you wish to do an useful, beautiful and comfortable site. What do you need for this purpose? What factors do influence on popularity of web-site? From what is it the best of all to begin creation of own site? And what errors can catch on this way?
I made attempt select principal reasons, which, on my personal opinion, influence on popularity of site:
* Table of contents or content is one of the most important constituents. If on a site there isn't any useful information, which is able to interest the certain circle of people, it is possible to put a question about the necessity of existence of site as such. Remember, how much useful pages did you se lately as compared to a general amount of sites, which you visited?
* Design is the second of importance constituent of good site. In fact if you like the design of site, certainly, you will tell your friends about it. Don't forget that meet by clothes.
In an order to do a good site, not necessarily even to use graphic art. There are useful sites with a minimum of graphic art (or even without it) and mass of unavailing, hammered megabyted pictures. For a web-site, as however, and for other designer projects, style of site is very important, giving it an own person and knowableness. Consequently, middle speed of pumping over is equal to 14400 bit/s / 8 =1800 byte/s - it's in ideal case, actually it's a bit less than from the repeated transmissions of the blocks accepted by mistake. Therefore will accept middle speed equal 1200-1500 byte/s. Only not mix up this speed, which is speed to the provider, with a speed of pumping-over of your page, it can appear far less, because information, attaining your computer, passes through a few computers (as a rule, 10-15), and speed is determined the narrowest link in a chain.
Let us suppose, in the day-time the work-load of routers (computers, transmiting information from one network to other) is more than at night. Except for it, if your server is on a computer, which is connected with a provider on a switched (or selected) line on speed 14400 bit/s, then man, sitting for other side of the Internet, will not obtain speed higher than it for anything (I eliminate cases with Proxy-server, as mainly, on them often ascable information is kept - for example, pages of the searching systems). I accept possible the loadtime of one page no more than 40 seconds (this size undertook from the personal experience :), from here - 40*1200= 48Kb - this will be that maximal volume, which page can have together with all graphic art, being on it. If you need to place information of greater size, then will warn of it an user or will distribute information on a few pages.
* Support of web-site includes in itself not only registration of your server in all possible Searching systems of the world, but also such resources, as placing of information in mass medias (URL - in a newspaper), and also mention about your site on business cards, advertisements, in the newspaper and magazine articles, etc. Except for it, on web-site E-mail for connection with you necessarily must be mentioned or, in the case of its absence, even telephone number.
* Clear and logical structure of placing of information on your server - nothing tires so much at a search necessary information, as ill-structured servers.
* Absence of spellings and grammatical errors - this point I include here because of lots errors on just incipient web-sites. In fact it is simple - print text in an editor with spelling and re-read that you wrote before the exposure of your server on a world review.
